When you’re ready to buy what you REALLY wanted for Christmas
December 22, 2007 by Dad · Leave a Comment
When you’re all finished showing off your new sweaters and ties to your coworkers and you’re able to fit back into those ever-shrinking pants of yours (WHAT cause them to continually shrink!!??) set yourself down and visit the:
At the Shack Shopping Mall you’ll find dad things that’ll keep you dreaming for hours! The best thing about this site is the home theatre forum area here you can learn a lot just by reviewing prior posts or post questions you want answered. The experts behind the site and the site “groupies” will walk you through your questions and you’ll end up making better purchase decisions when you’re ready.
The Husband Store in NYC
December 22, 2007 by Dad · Leave a Comment
A store that sells new husbands has just opened in New York City. Among
the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:
You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value
of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may
choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next
floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!
So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first
floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs.
She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign
reads:
Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.
“That’s nice”, she thinks, “but I want more.”
So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good
Looking.
“Wow,” she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.
She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and
Help With Housework.
“Oh, mercy me!” she exclaims, “I can hardly stand it!”
Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help
with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the
sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on
this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to
please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
PLEASE NOTE:
To avoid gender bias charges, the store’s owner opened a New Wives store
just across the street.
The first floor has wives who love sex.
The second floor has wives who love sex and have money.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

Autism Speaks

The Autism Speaks Channel in the YouTube Nonprofit Program has some excellent videos for parents of autistic kids and for people who should learn more about these autism spectrum disorders. A couple of my favorite videos can be found below. For more information on the nonprofit behind these videos visit the Autism Speaks website.

The new youtube nonprofit program
December 1, 2007 by Dad · Leave a Comment
YouTube rolled out a program for nonprofits that will help charities promote their cause using the power of video. They’re offering a free video camera to the first 300 nonprofits that sign up and no doubt they’re going fast.
U.S. nonprofits with 501(c)(3) tax status are eligible so get in touch with your favorite cause and encourage them to check out this new program.
The current Featured Video was made by Autism Speaks and it illustrates just how effective this can become for nonprofits. If “a picture is worth a thousand words” then a short video is worth a hundred thousand times more!
